    Default key problem!

I have a 99 audi a4 and i my key is acting up.Bad news is that its the only one i got. I can use the keyblade to open doors and start the car, but the remote buttons dont do anything. Key battery is in working order. Any ideas?

I know how much of a pain this can be...doesn't seem like it until you realize your "at one point expensive" luxury car's doors dont unlock due to a faulty $5 battery. I believe you need two keys to reprogram it. Maybe a dealer can do it with only one but I do not believe so. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
