    Default 2000 A4 2.0L Built

Since I don't like teaser threads, here's my built thread.

    GTX-3076R 0.63 AR
    Treadstone Exhaust Manifold
    Tial MVS Wastegate
    Bell Intercooler
    ClutchMasters FX-400 240mm
3" Exhaust w/single Magnaflow muffler (loud and needs a second muffler)
    83mm Wiseco Pistons
    ABA forged crank
    Supertech valvetrain
CAT Purple intake cam (BobQ special)
    Ported intake+minor bowl work
    Raceware head studs

    KW V3 coilovers
    Stasis/Alcon 355mm 4piston fronts
    B5 S4 rear brakes with Stasis/Alcon 298mm
    Hotchkis sway bars

    Uncorrected Dyno-

Corrected Dyno (it was tuned last week when it was a bit chilly out) -

I picked up the block and motor a few years ago with the intention of doing this build. The motor was built at Lorenzos fast flow cylinder heads in Trevose, PA. Nice shop with an engine dyno they use to tune drag motors with. They were tuning a blown alky motor to 2,000 hp when I picked my motor up. My buddy Dan and I took out the original ATW motor and installed the upgraded AEB and clutch in my driveway.

The downpipe, intercooler, intercooler piping, turbo intake pipe, tuning, and catch can were all done at Autospeed. Their fabrication skills are fantastic. Mark and Dan were very patient with me even though I called about once a week. Once I find my camera I'll get rid of the iphone pic and update the thread.

As for how it drives, it surprised the shit out of me when I left the shop to go for the inaugural test drive. I was expecting some lag and had my foot way too far down on the pedal when I left the shop lot. The thing rips. Under 3500 rpm it's pretty average. After that I have to make sure I'm going in a straight line. I was getting wheel spin on the onramps in second and third gear (I know it's cold and the tires were frozen solid, but hey it was fun as hell). The clutch will take some getting used to. Managed to stall it twice.

nice mod list, i just saw your thread on az and figured there would be one here as well. im name over there is "thenj3." build looks good, waiting for videos and more pictures. if you get a chance would you be able to get the part number of the connector for the crank position sensor, but the the connector on the wiring harness side. i have to run the atw crank sensor and the connector is different than my awm wiring harness. thanks man.

I've been following your thread on az. I should be able to find out about the connector tomorrow.

I'm probably wrong, but I thought the connectors were the same but the pins and wires are different.

That's a beastly torque hit, but whats with the weak peak power?

Please tell me you have something like fuel or tuning maxxed out, or its official to me; you can't make any power on a German 4 cyl.

Peak boost is 28 tapering to 26 for safety reasons.

HP wasn't my goal, which is why I went with an intake cam only. I wanted as much torque as early as possible with approx 400awhp. Going with anything more than an intake cam would have been counterproductive.

Good to see that you finally got her! You'll have to meet up and show me the car next time I'm down in Lambertville!

Excuse my ignorance, but doesn't the waviness in the upper RPMs of the HP & TQ indicated that there's some knock there? Also, looks like the power comes on early, where do plan on shifting the car?

Seeing as the HP doesn't taper off at all on the dyno chart, I'd keep shift as high in the rpms as I could. The only real reason why you "shift early" when the power comes on early is because your typically running out of juice in the high rpms. There is no reason to shift if you're holding essentially peak HP all the way to redline.

Come and check it out anytime. The waviness is typical. Most shops just pretty it up by changing the settings on the printout.

Nice build! How do you like those cams? Sorry if I missed it, but what size injectors are you using?

I only did an intake cam. Anything else would have given top end, but hurt the low end. I love it. Idles nicely. Injectors are 860cc/82lb at 3 bar.

I believe they're Siemens. Mark at Autospeed made the selection.

Siemens are old school. The best injectors on the market are the newer Bosch injectors like the EV14 and the Bosch Racing injector, even my 1150cc custom machined single tip Bosch racing injectors have a smaller droplet then a Siemens 630cc injector and this helps when trying to get a smoother idle.

Doctor loved how his idle smoothed out with my 1150cc injectors vs his 870cc Siemens. It even smoothed out his mid range power.

    Just saw your post spoolin.

Still running great. The rain and cold weather do make it a bit entertaining through third gear with no traction control.

I do have to replace a control arm that I destroyed before I started this project.
