This is NOT a Vast thing. Other people figured this out first and Vast picked up on it and is using it as a marketing angle for you guys to eat up as being "cool".
I believe it builds something weak like 10psi too. You can do better with your own foot.
Not worth it.
WOT Box if anything.
^^ Chill buddy, I think we all know that LC in tunes has been around for a LONG time, the excitement is that this is possibly becoming part (or an add on option) for the built in tune. WOT boxes are nice, but I don't feel that comfortable splicing into all sorts of ecu and ignition cables attached to a cheap circuit board. ECU's aren't cheap, and I feel that a properly done LC built into a tune is better then an add on LC on top of a tune.
I agree, nothing new, but just excited for it to become part of VAST and possibly JHM tunes.
Also the best drivers certainly can get better 60' times. But part of the appeal of this is the consistency, while some can lay down a good 60', a large majority can't do it consistently.

It was so great it caused the car to bog while launching at 6k rpm. lol
RPM's rising at a quick rate is always going to launch better on a AWD car.
Odd thing is that nearly everyone that gets launch control for their Audi only uses it to show off the back fires, not to actualy make their car quicker when launching. The only good a 2 step has is for cutting a better light.

it was held at 5900 rpm, but that's not necessarily the equivalent of launching (manually) at 5900 rpm
anyway, when did it bog? I saw it spin its tires and just move out.
Look at the in car view, the rpms drop all the way down to 3k rpm as he lets the clutch out. RPMS shouldn't drop 3k during the launch. They should hold or just drop slightly before rising again.
Odd thing is they say a 2 step should make launching more consistant but yet that video shows that the launching is all over the place. This is because things like surface traction plays a HUGE Roll in changing the launching conditions.
Holding the 2 step for 5 seconds to build 5psi is doing nothing. It takes a split second to build that much boost. Odd thing is I used to use my 2 step anti lag to launch my car making 25+psi, all it did was spin the tires and that was with BFG drag radials. Even with the WOT box A4 1.8t owners couldn't get more then 5psi and this is because all its doing is basically cutting spark to 1-2 cylinders at a time. That does not build boost, retarding timing 30-40 degs builds real boost.
Listen to my engine during this launch of mine.

I'm going to be putting launch control on my car soon. Not sure to as if I'm going to get it programmed or get the box. I found a good deal for a launch control box for $160.
