    Default Check yo manifold bolts

Mine were all ~6Nm and the spec is 11Nm! For some reason I thought the B7 was exempt from this TSB, guess not...

The TSB is from 2005 so I guess my 06' could have been affected (or is this a 4.2L thing?)

I don't see why the B7 wouldn't be effected. Same design, same bolts, same manifold, etc. Always good practice to check the make sure these are tight from time to time.

I swear the car runs better, mainly improved throttle response. I wasn't throwing codes or anything, but man, it feels better.

I had a CEL that I was chasing around for a few months,a while back. Ended up finding all the mainfold bolts finger tight. It was ridiculous how loose they were,I could literally back them out by hand.

Checked all of mine after doing an oil change last night and 3 of the passenger side front bolts were on the loose side, something I will now check every couple of thousand miles with the oil

Good call, thanks. Checked mine this morning...not flying out, but certainly not tight.

how are you guys gaining access to tighten them? I definitely have a feeling mine are loose, as i can clearly hear some form of an exhaust leak while in the cabin, but the downpipes and exhaust is all tight.

any writeups on procedure to getting a tool in there to tighten? I had my car on stands last week and its overly tight in there to get to the manifold bolts
