    Default need tire size clarification

    here is my story.

i have a set of winter wheels and the other day one blew out and without knowing i drove on it for about 5 mils to get home. and local store told me it is no good anymore. tires that i have is Continental winter tires 225/40/18. is it ok to buy just 2 more brand new 225/40/18 tires and put em on my car with 2 existing tires?

depends on the tread depth of the existing tires but most likely that'd be fine, audi says don't deviate more than 7/32nd but there's some wiggle room for sure

replacing 2 at a time is the right way to go

Yes, just make sure those two new ones are on the same axle.
