Weird Noise - Only When Raining - Coming from the Front Drivers Side

Ok, so for the past several months. Only when its raining and when I'm driving at freeway speed. I hear this thump noise coming from the Drivers side front. Its almost like the sound of someone flicking a hollow box. I thought maybe it was water building up and then dripping onto a plastic lid maybe.... idk... its really weird... I cannot get the sound to happen at command (like if if hit the throttle or hit the brakes) it just randomly starts to happen as stated above.... It almost sounds like its from the interior right near the firewall.... any ideas??????

Yeah, i dont see any rubbing any where. It's the weirdest thing... It drives me nuts to drive in the rain....

I'd start by removing the wheel and checking the fender liner to make sure it's all secure. There's about 8 or so screws randomly on that thing that I could see causing a noise like that if a few were missing.

Check the CV boot.

Check all the belly pan plastic pieces. Make sure you have all the fasteners in. Perhaps it's flapping in the rain at higher speeds?

Yeah, I am missing some of the belly pan screws... Will make a stop at the Dealer tonight... Still its just weird... As for the CV nah i dont think so. This is something plastic and hollow not a clicking...
