    Question Staggered Wheels ?

    i recently went to a few rim shops lately to check out some prices, and i was told that its not safe or i cant use Staggered Wheels on AWD cars.. is this tru? i seen a few audis with that look.

    it can be done. You just have to match your tire diameters.

    for example 225/40/18 up front on an 18x8.5
    235/40/18 in rear for 18x9.5

    the best person to talk with is "Captobvious" or "Skidmark" over on Zine. Send them a pm about what your looking to do. They will be very helpfull on tire size -->rim size for ya.

    Yes, you want the outside diameter to be as close as possible. I forget the rule of thumb (<X% difference).

    This minimizes rotational velocity differences in the front and rear sections of the drivetrains. Due to the car being all-wheel-drive everything needs to be quite equal.

    Yeah its fine, many people have been running staggered setups on their audi's without any problems. Just make sure you dont go over the 3% rolling diameter.

    You will most likey have a 10mm difference between the front and the rear.
    Example 225/35/18 front then rear will be 235/35/18
