    Default Hey A4 guys.

So I've been B6 S4 owner for about a half a year now and my buddy just bought a B6 A4.

He's not mechanically inclined so I'm gonna do a tune up for him.
Coils were done under factory recall. WHat kind of plugs are you guys running?

Also should the fuel filter be done like the S4?

An engine oil suggestions or just stick with factory?

Thanks any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am just running OEM plugs no problem there, as for the fuel filter yes it should be done. Oil is really an open topic I suppose. Some will say run this others will say run that. I've been running Mobil 1 Ow-40 with the Mobil 1 M1-301 filter or OEM filter no real difference but I was given the oil filters for free so I couldn't turn them down. Mind as well do Air and Cabin filters while in there. Oh and ps the oil filter is in a such a bitch of a location haha.

I forgot to ask, what does Factory suggest for oil grade? 5w 40?

No its not unfortunately. You need to move the coolant tank off to the side to reach the filter, I find it easier to go through top of motor then going through the bottom. I should note this is for the 1.8T assuming that's what your friend has. How many miles are on the motor? Was the Timing Belt done?

It has roughly 104KM's ( 64K miles) as we're Canadian. He told me hasn't done a single thing and probably doesn't know anything about the service history of the vehicle. Personally I think he bought the wrong car for somebody who has no mechanical inclination or a warranty to fall back on... but he's owns it now so there's no going back.

Ehh it's not that bad. Timing belts are hyped up to be scarier than they really are. I am no mechanic but me and joey did it in his garage following a simple DIY. Which engine does it have? 1.8T or 3.0?
