Default Anyone ever Delete/Mod/Simplify their vacuum lines and check valves?

OK so Dad's B6 1.8tq has a vacuum leak around the standard problem area right at the back of the motor. one of the barbed ends broke off the check valve among other things. Couldn't see too well as it was dark last night when I was working on it.

Has anyone ever done anything similar to this?

I'm wondering if its worth it. The car will be kept stock forever. will it be less troublesome and easier to service in the future? Will it still run ok without mods and any tuning?
not really an audi guy so help a brother out!

    TIA guys

I'll be doing this soon as well since my tuner will be able to tune the codes out when I get the tune for my turbo.

My car doesn't have any of those items.

The catch-22 is that you need to program out a few EVAP and SAI codes in the software. Typically can't do this unless you have custom software.

Is your father's car bone stock or modified to some degree?

Let me know if and when you do this. I'd love to lend a helping hand and want to ditch this crap on my car. I have now q-bonded my suction jet pump valve 3 times since 2 weeks ago, when I figured out where my massive vacuum leak was coming from.
