Magnetic front license plate info...

I haven't had my front plate on in over a year - no issues in NYC or anywhere for that matter. Now that I just jynxed myself I'll end up updating this post in a few days.

I leave mine on the street when I park. got my first parking plte ticket dismissed cuz I put 2 magnets from the stainless steel bolt try holder. ms put 2 behind the plate filler and expoxyed the other 2 on the back on the plate. and drive with it off

I havent had a plate on 2 vehicles for as long as I had them. I got 2 Plate tickets ever, 1 while driving in Brooklyn with my EVO MR and one while my Celica was parked on a Queens street. But I couldnt care less thats 2 - $50.00 fines in 10 years, thats no big deal. Its worth it I think.

You want to use rare earth magnets. I've seen tons of threads where people have used them.

went to sears. bought 2 stainless steel magnetic trays at $9.99 each and peeled the magnets off, put 2 behind the filler(just fits snuggly) then expoxy 2 on the back of the plate. make sure the magnet poles are the correct way lol.

Use the magnet trick when parked, just place the plate in the correct location, then remove the plate when you are ready to drive off. If you get a pulled over tell them it's a "show" car and you remove the plate for photos and forgot to put it back on. Then simply put the plate back on while the LEO is still there and...usually no ticket.

Sears sells a craftsman magnetic tool tray for $10. Buy two like Tony mentioned, remove the magnets from each (total of four) and place two behind (really between the front & back covers) your filler plate and affix two to your plate - epoxy works well liker Tony mentioned.

I bought the Earth Magnets didn't use them and got inspection, tint, and no front plate all at the same time. All dropped!
Also just had my criminal offense a 93 in a 65 dropped below a speeding ticket to a lane changing ticket!

remember to take the plate of when driving. I forgot to just now and went over a slight bump and bam 3 car run it over behind me.

as you can see it took a beating. magnets still connected too!

How the hell did you do that? What lawyer did you use?

^^^^ That had to be either Nassau ,Westchester or Upstate Ticket NOT with in the city limits

Mine is mounted using 12 (6 on the plate, 6 behind the trim panel) neodymium rare earth magnets, and they have never come close to falling off when driving. Nothing worse than a jacked up plate on a car, or a trip to the DMV to replace a lost one.

These are the type that I bought; dont remember what I paid though.
