Default RS4 logs timing & airflow

I did some airflow / timing logs (cyl 1-4 only), please have a look and advise if these are normal, my S3 logs were simple & straight fwd, not sure if the airflow readings are scaled, as max is 100g/s ? my S3 max was around 250g/s.

We can't tell what your data means when all we have is 100g/s. At what RPM? What throttle position? Best way to test is to pull 3rd gear logs in turbo mode (VCDS/vagcom) from 2000 to 8000+ rpm. Log the following:

    RPM
    MAF
    IAT
    Timing cylinder #1
    Torque

We will also need the environmental data:

    Temp
    humidity
    altitude

Any other info like modifications to the car will help as well.

I would expect the MAF at 7800rpm on a healthy car at or near sea level at 20 deg C to be around 150 g/s. Clean filter, carbon clean. Less than that, start looking at the filters, the snow filter if you have on in the tube. After that look at the torque curve. if it falls off dramatically at 6k+ rpm, and the peaks are down (400N-M should be seen in these conditions) then carbon buildup is a primary culprit. Also one other key telltale, take your timestamp from 3k and subtract from timestamp at 8k. Some estimating will need to be done to get exact figures, but in the end a stock clean car should be in the 8.5 seconds range. I have seen as high as 9.14 on a carboned up car, and as low as 7.43 on my car, but it is pretty modded and clean. make sure you do the pull on straight flat ground, be prepared to hit 100mph.

Default Logs from my car yesterday

In my log template, i put all the details about not only the car, but the environment. I have a log for every pull I have done, and a designated location where I do all my pulls, so the road, the altitude is the exact same. The only thing I can't control is the weather, so I note it, because temperature will make a big difference. other that that, everything else can be controlled and you have a true apples to apples comparison. Or you can look at data across multiple tests, knowing what was changed. Email me and i will send you my template you can use for logging.

I have replaced the oem filter with a K&N, temperature is 20-25 deg celsius.

Attachment xls doc does not seem to attach!!

I am not sure how to log both ecu's simultaneously or is it not necessary ?

I will be putting the car on the rollers this coming Saturday, just to see what the power & torque is. If not on par with other local RS4's, I plan to remove the IM and manually clean. Either way will post dyno results and further update.

    Thanks again..

You need to save the logs as an image and attach that way, or save the list as text and paste in.

First thing that jumps at me is you are at 5700+ feet. That is going to have a significant effect on your MAF. remember the S3 i believe is turbo as well (i think, not familiar with it) and this is why the maf is so much higher than the RS4 normally aspirated.
