ok so ive been creeping around the b8 s4 section for weeks now. the car is a 2011 phantom black with black and silver seats, 6-speed, prestige package, B&O, sport diff, titanium package and s4 alu-optics package. im coming out of a heavily modded b7 rs4 and after a week or so of buyers remorse i couldnt be happier now. all kinda came together when i raced my best friends stock rs4 and beat him, that justified everything right there hahaha. i picked the car up 3 weeks ago with 22 miles and now am at 1500 and i have already began modding... whooooops lol. i loved the way the s4 handled out of the box, but there was much room for improvement IMO, i went with a set of kw v3's and the car feels leaps and bounds better. still considering sway bars. i also did the black plate filler, jhm short throw, awe boost gauge, interior LED lights, and am currently waiting on getting my ecu back from the good people over at APR aswell as my full exhaust from Fast intentions. cant wait to see what kind of beast this car can be. this is going to be a great week. once i finalize the stance of the car ill post better more current pictures, but here she is at the dealership

You had GREAT looking RS4, but congrats on the new purchase. I can on'y imagine the buyers remorse going on at first for that transition!

But that's a good lookin S4! How'd you gunmetal the stock wheels like that? (And personally, throw a nice tint on there to really finish her off!)

tint is on already, really light but sets it off nice, and the wheels are the optional 5 spoke wheels, they are actually two toned gunmetal and machined finishes. better pics to come

186 inches long. What's the C6?

These B8s are huge. That's my only real complaint about them. I like the M3/B6/7 S4/RS4 size...around 180 inches. 186 inches is pretty boatlike (and won't fit in the smallest of my garage bays!)

My previous complaints were the rear end and the sound. The rear end on the S4 actually looks much better than the A4 because I think it has a more aggressive spoiler and LED lights (vs. 2009 A4s). The sound I'll never really get into. V8 tends to ruin your perspective. With that being said I never liked B5 S4 sound, but I've been getting a little more into that lately, so who knows.

Al around though the B8 is an amazing product. It has shifted it's focus from M and AMG models to 3 and C models, but the value, power, tech is all a fantastic package. I just wish they'd made a god damned S4 Avant!

I was looking at A6 Avants with the 3.0T as a replacement option for the B8 A4 Avant, but THOSE are massive. 190+inches long and redefining the term boatlike.

The C5 is 188.8in and the C6 is 194.0in. So I was pretty close. Side by side I bet the B8 S4 would look just the same as the C5 A6.. except my fenders are cooler :P

you sound like a bus brian... lol yea well my hairdryer is still faster :P but yea it is def a bigger car, it did take a day or two to get used to coming from a b6 s4 and the rs4. with the kw's the car feels perfect, with that sport diff i can throw it around harder than i ever could with the rs4 and somehow "feels" lighter on its toes.

I really would love to hear (in person) a Fast Intentions B8. I really don't like the stock exhaust and I heard a Stasis car the other day. Still no likey. As for Fast Intentions even in the videos it sounds good. that's hard to do because videos of a V6 almost always sound shit unless made with a good microphone and you listen on headphones.

Beautiful S4. I couldn't imagine parting with that RS4 though, that thing is gorgeous. Are you still happy with the V3's? I'm debating on picking up a set of V2's shortly, don't have any past expereince with KW though. How do you like your JHM SS? Have you had the chance to drive or compare it to a car with the strat SS? The tune sure is nice isnt it? Really smoothed the power out. Very nice S4 though, and welcome!

i love the V3's. if i had to do it over again...id still go V3's. and i love the jhm shifter. i have felt the strat kit, and while for the price cant be beat, feels nothing like the jhm kit. the jhm feels solid and thats because they replace the ENTIRE shifter assembly. and as far as the tune goes... awesome

Recently I've had a buddy with a 2+yr TT350Z build and I believe close to 900hp decided to sell it as he became "over it" (I think he's only tryin to get like $30-35 too for it, which is crazy cheap considering what's done) and another buddy with 800+ on a supra about to sell after 1.5yrs b/c he's tired of the car as well. And one of my 335 buddies is going to a viper in the spring probably (they own a small dealership so having a worthless car isn't a big deal when you can grab a suv or whatever whenever u need to) and another 335 guy isn't sure yet but will be gone by the summer for sure.
