    Default Raunch Rontrol?

    Was searching for some B8 quarter mile runs on facetube and saw this...is this guy messing around? Or is this legit? Launch Control is just hiding inside the car and nobody knew? Not sure it seems to launch so awesome...just seems to pull away without much fanfare, but who knows...could be way better.

    Anyway, one of you DSG guys...try it and report back! I wonder if this will work on my B8 TIP A4 Avant...

    theres a thread on most of the forums but this one about it. if they had a 6spd none of this would be an issue

    Sak, Appears to only be on 2011 cars.... Trust me I would have found it if it was on 2010 cars.... Hopefully, we can get an update to add it to our cars.... I have asked all/any 2011 owners to make a vid of a launch using this vs normal idle launch and capture their speedo up to 60mph so we can gauge the impact.... Or if someone has a gtech to get those times since very few B8 owners hit the strip.... If I had it on my car we would know the results this coming Sat.

    I couldn't get this to work on my car either.

    I'd be willing to lend my gtech out for someone to do this testing.

    That sucks it's only on the 2011 cars, I wonder if it applies to S5's as well. But it's a pretty sweet built in feature. Hopefully the B8 guys can get an update, or tuners could at least copy that part of the tune to older B8's.

    Cool. Seems as though there might be a hardware difference in the '11s versus the '10s because it seems that even the '10s with the updated TCU software can't get the LC to work.

    And you're about 20 seconds off for the launch control part. Still, I want launch control. I thought about about buying one of those WOT boxes, but didn't like the idea of being the first or no real instructions (other than duud40 doing on his onw, ubt that guy is crazy, in a good way )
