Like Rich said, it's just a catback exhaust, factory cats are still there, and the exhaust was on for the first run (as Ron said).

His posts are not hard to get info from if you know the platform. Everyone else seems to insist on calling "Downpipe" the cat + downpipe, which I understand that many other cars have this as ONE piece, but we don't. I've pointed this out before, so have others, we have shown APR's picture, yet is still doesn't seem to hit home.

On a B8 S4, Cat = Cat, and Downpipe = the pipe AFTER the cat that connects in a downward angle (hence the name) to the X-pipe and center resonator (if present).

Still waiting on the link to those posts Sak. Seems like everytime you bring up me calling you names, and I ask you to show me where, you never seem to touch that topic anymore.

What you quoted, perhaps you need to re-read the entire thread for it to make sense to you.

We know what a stock b8 runs in the 1/4 mile. What does one with all that extra power run?
In my very humble opinion, dyno numbers are only useful for cold air intake manufacturers and the suckers who buy their products.
Just shut everyone up and run a fast time, I will be one of the first to congratulate you.

Ah so far Primetime holds that number with a 12.06 @ 116.8

With a tune, Milltek exhaust, and oh, you know. That intake for suckers n whatnot.

Eff winter though, I can't wait to see times for Ron with the 034 cats, and Rich with the headers and no cats.

Yeah, woke up to about another foot today..... had to shovel a path for the pregnant wife to get to the car.... then my normal commute to downtown took 2+ hours instead of the normal 30-40 minutes.... F***ing Cleveland! April 3rd as long as there is no rain/snow I will be making passes with various mods added.....

I bet a Coke that nobody gets close to PT until they go 100 or go bigger-blower.

I hope Richie gets there, but I don't think guys will do it on 93.

p.s. there's a pbox 0-60mph run with launch control on a DSG 2011...4.5 seconds. i.e. as suspected...i.e. kinda what the strong MT6 guys run

so, you 2010 guys, don't get too upset!

Agreed... I think the 100 tune is a bigger benefit to the car than say headers... now if someone went into the motor that may be different.... I want the switching software so I can see what my car runs on pump gas as well.... As for the launch control if HPA comes through I think I will do much better

Yeah, I'm getting anxious for the program switching. Bet its not ready in time for spring.

Btw I'm ordering the 034 hfc's on Friday. They have them in stock so I should have them installed in 2-3 weeks. At some point ill go back to awe to dyno so we can see the gains from Meth and the cats. I'm sure they'll have a dyno day when it gets nice.

^^yeah man. Thought long and hard about it but I can't really justify the expense. I'm looking to have another kid this year and possibly leave my job to start my own business. There's a few thousand dollar difference between the cats and the headers after you factor install. It would serve me better in my pocket. I'm not rich like the rest of you guys.

I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut.

would like to see the power difference between the 034 and the eurocode, i am pretty set on getting the headers in april since i want to stay sleeper and with a tune and headers it seems you don't really need an exhaust to make power.

I was talking to the OP as far as giving us "real world" back up to those great dyno numbers.
The fascination with cold air intakes seems to be a holdover from when you could bolt one on to a honda and actually get performance from such a simple mod. Things have definitely changed in that sense, a long time ago.
    Just my opinion.

^ I -really- just like the supercharger sound, haha! The intake alone is negligible on stock. It gets rid of a physical restriction/neckdown in the stock plumbing, so its better than stock, and not hurting performance.. but I think its just part of a puzzle piece for a complete modification path.

I know exactly what you mean with the honda bit.. friend had an integra and was claiming like 20hp with and intake.. I was like BULLSHIT thats ridiculous.

.. then I looked it up. Damn.

Have you heard the sound clips of the 034 cat delete and the stock exhaust?
Sounds terrible. Reason enough to pick a new exhaust.

if you replace just one part of the factory exhaust, the sound balance will go right out the window. its an all or nothing kinda deal on this car. if u want stealth then eurocode headers and miltek res will give you just that. totally sleeper when you just wanna cruise but a fucking animal when u get on it
