yeah, the 996 interiors need some work (just old is all). Might have a nice tape player in there!

p.s. welcome MATT! Finally he doesn't have to lurk and bite his tongue when he was dying to post when guys wanted carbon fibre.

I really want to start doing Porsche interiors, but finding core trim is next to impossible without spending an arm and a leg. Hopefully as this community grows I get get some leads on some better sources for cores.

Agreed, it seemed silly to keep tip toeing around it.

I wanted to take the time to post a short review of my experience with oCarbon. A few months ago i decided to send my trim out to Matt to get done. The turn around time was great, his communication was great, and his work is second to none.

I was so excited to get the box back and open it. WOW was i impressed with his work. The 20oz 2x2 twill that Matt hooked it up with was out of this world. It completely transformed the look of the interior of the car. Made it so much more modern and classy, compared to the fishscale trim i had in there previously.

I highly recommend oCarbon for any of your carbon fiber needs. They do incredible work that is truly worth the cost. I would not hesitate to have more work done, as a matter of fact the trim of my soon to be Porsche will be paying him a visit!

Im waiting to get some quality high resolution shots to post up. For those who have seen my car in person can vouch for the craftsmanship and quality of the CF trim.

you might find some on 6speed or rennlist, ebay obviously is a good source, the prices are still pretty high imo for what they actually are though, the prices are all over the place, if you want new oparts suncoast seems to be the cheapest and are reliable as well

there are some dismantlers (breakers yards or whatever they are called here, i'm english) they are generally a real pain to deal with though and have mixed reviews

i have a porsche and am pretty used to paying stupid prices for parts so it was nice when i started buying parts/mods for the audi as everything seemed so cheap

    porsche tax sucks

I haven't yet, but I could. I looked into it a while ago for a friend of mine's car, but he couldn't get the top wood part of the arm rest on the door off of the bottom part of the piece.

Not my image, but it will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. I would wrap the white part in carbon fiber. I was able to get the top padding off, but couldn't separate the bottom from the top. I know they are removable (I've seen it done) I'm just not quite sure how. If you know how to get those door pieces apart I can for sure make a set for you.
