Good question.
Some of these are going to be pretty easy and should go quick. I was nervous about the center console, but its really straight forward and shouldn't be an issue.
I still can't believe some of the prices on these Porsche pieces. The three thin dash pieces sell for like $300 after being wrapped in carbon fiber and are probably $8 in materials on my end. Let the gouging begin!
how bout a carbon fiber DIY?? lol

Not to mention the quality materials and higher oz you use are a lot better than what competition is offering. oCarbon FTW!

^^ haha I had contacted him for some part for my cayman right before I totaled it
but yeah I will buy the parts.. my interior is to plain and I miss all the Carbon in my cayman
Email me (matt@ocarbon.com) with what parts you are interested in (its much easier for me to communicate via email). I'm not really sure if there is a "full" kit for the Porsche stuff, we can pretty much mix and match anything, I'm just doing whatever parts Joey wants at the moment.
Matt - I dropped your name on the CTS-V forums. They're in desperate need of someone to do some quality work for them.

Damn Matt great job on those small pieces. Must be tricky to get the weave to look straight and perfect on those small curvy parts.
....I have a feeling some 2x2 trim might be in my future.....I said I never would....but, well.....yeah.
Few more parts that are all done...

Damn those look really good. They are going to look so good installed in the GT3.
Matt, you sure you are ready for the rush of Porsche owners who are going to want this stuff done?

Getting a package in the mail via oCarbon today
Hopefully i can manage to get the dash trim strips and door handles on today with some pictures. Cluster surround will most likely take a little bit more time.

Big thanks for Matt and company at oCarbon. Stuff came out absolutely perfect. Not a single fitment issue or defect in any of the carbon fiber pieces. The stuff looks incredible in person and puts the OEM CF from Porsche to shame. oCarbon uses high quality materials to give you an incredible finished product. I love to jump in the car and just admire the craftsman ship of the CF trim. Anyone thinking of of getting this done in the pcar should not hesitate. Definitely worth it and a great value compared to other aftermarket CF alternatives out there.

My Review of the Carbon Fiber Parts
Quality
- 20oz
- 2x2 Twill Fabric
I was really impressed with the quality of the trim i received. Going over all of the parts carefully i could not find any bubbles or pitting in the clear coat. No bumps or defects in the fabric laid on the parts. You can really see the craftsmanship in these pieces of trim and know that the highest quality of materials were used to produce the final product. The trim looks exceptional installed in the car and really transforms the interior into a more modern look and feel.
I am pretty familiar with the OEM Porsche CF trim as i have been in several cars with it installed. Comparing the two you can easily notice a quality difference right away. This 2x2 twill fabric uses many more individual strands of Caron fiber in the weave, which will produce a thicker and tighter weave. The aftermarket CF just really seems to stand out and pop where the OEM variant takes a more subtle approach. If you want a CF set that is going to stand out and get a lot of attention then look no further.
Fitment
My biggest concern with getting the trim wrapped in CF was the fitment upon installation. By getting your parts wrapped in carbon fiber you are essentially thickening the part, making it a bit more bulky vs the stock pieces. I was a little nervous that the pieces would not fit exactly like they did before causing issues with installation. Obviously this is a big concern for many people as i am sure you would not was a nice CF piece that does not fit properly. Once i got the parts back from the CF shop I was extremely happy that everything fit just as it did before. No gaps, awkward fitment issues, or problems with installation with the slightly bigger CF pieces. It was as if i was just re-installing an original part. The pictures above speak for themselves.
Customer Service
I have nothing but positive things to say about oCarbon who took on this project for me. This transaction was one of the most pleasant ones that i have engaged in during my time in the automotive community. The extremely professional staff kept me updated and in the loop through the entire process. They were very helpful and happy to answer all of my questions and concerns before, during, and after the process. I was given a tracking number as soon as the parts were shipped out. Parts were extremely well packaged and contained within the box with no chance of being damaged. These guys are top notch and highly recommended.
Conclusion
For the price and quality you are not going to beat this set by oCarbon compared to OEM and other aftermarket variants. The price is extremely reasonable and an extremely good value for what you actually get with the final product. On top of that oCarbon was a real pleasure to deal with making this whole project worth it over and over again. If you are looking to spice up your interior with a quality set of CF trim then i would look no further. Nothing but good things to say on my part
I am not positive with how the advertising rules work over here so if you are interested in getting a set of this trim and want the contact information for the business that did the work please PM me. If i am allowed to post their contact information I will I just don't want to break any of the rules. Hope you guys enjoyed the pictures and write-up
