Default Lazarus Syndrome - Jest's Red S4 has been resurrected!

    Hello all -

Just a quick hello - I'm the proud new owner of (Jest's former) 2007 Red S4! Yes, it was turned back to (mostly) stock by Jest prior to sale, and it now has a safe, new home in Northern NJ and will be a daily driver for me.

As a looooooooongtime car fanatic, this will be my 2nd Audi (first one was a stodgy and slow 2001 A6 4.2) in a long line of mostly performance-related rides (I even had some old-school American Musclecars such as Chevelle SS 454, 'Cuda 383, AARCUDA, back in the day!). I even had a gorgeous 928 S4 until some idiot slammed into me and totalled it but that's another story!

Anyway, I'm glad to be a member of such a fantastic forum and I look forward to many shared experiences and posts to add to an already healthy and fanatical group!

good to see an enthusiastic Audi fan got that car. It was pretty awesome.

p.s. check out beemercer's 'not so stodgy and definitely not slow' 2001 A6 4.2. Might change your perception about that beast in businessman's clothing.

Glad Pete's car went to good hands.

Glad you made it onto the forum Jeff! Michelle, was fighting back tears even on the way home after we dropped the car off, but she's glad to see it go to a good home and most importantly another enthusiast!

    See you at Waterfest.

Certainly no disrespect to Beemercer! Mine was stock and the first car I ever owned that had an automatic transmission......I only owned it about 1 year - between the boredom factor in driving a slow-to-react transmission and not enough power for my taste, it was "hasta la vista slowpoke".

From Beemercer's ride description, it sounds that he's overcome both problems with his car - installing a manual transmission sounds like just what that car would need to turn it into a much more enjoyable ride.

    Welcome to EA!

Top-notch car you got from Pete! Everytime I saw it,it was clean enough to eat off of.

Any pics of your 928 S4 before it got totaled? Pretty cool car!

haha no worries, I've driven stock A6 4.2's before and its quite a different experience. The manual, quicker gears, lightweight motor bits, S8 cams/intake, sharper tune, headers all make it a lot more aggressive.

Oh no you ended up buying Pete's car? I feel for you man...

Just messing with ya! One of the nicest S4's out there. I loved my Nogaro, but it is hard to beat a Red B7 with a DTM package
