Royal Flush Rallies: Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about RFR and what our charity events are all about? Here we will try and address common questions and concerns for prospective participants. We hope to see you all out there!
What is Royal Flush Rallies?
Royal Flush Rallies was created in 2008 by a group of close friends. Our mission is to bring car enthusiasts together to enjoy a passion, meet new people, and benefit charitable organizations. Each rally is unique in its own way by offering a diverse route, different beneficiaries, and an exciting experience.
Is RFR a Non-Profit Organization?
YES! We are a 100% non-profit organization. All proceeds raised from our events are donated to the pre-selected event beneficiary. We are in the process of becoming an official 501c3 Non-Profit organization. We hope this process will be complete by our first rally of 2010.
What kind of events do you host?
The majority of our events are Poker Runs. However, on occasion we will organize other charitable events such as a cruise or a fund raiser for charitable organizations
What is a Poker Run?
A Poker Run is an organized road rally event where participants visit five checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run. The event is not timed—winning is purely a matter of chance.
Each point consists of a short break where your team will receive a poker card along with directions to the next rally point. The best five card hand at the end of the event wins. Prizes and gifts donated by our sponsors are awarded to the top hands at the end of the rally.
When are the events?
Royal Flush Rallies usually hosts 2-3 big events per year. We try and put together an event for each of the seasons (Spring, Summer, and Fall). News and Information about upcoming events can be found in this section of Euro Addiction.
What are the requirements to participate?
There are only two small requirements to participate in our events. - Participation Fee: Each rally requires a fee in order to participate. This fee will cover the fixed donation price to the selected charity and items such as Decals and Poker Cards. The participation fee amount can be found under the event information.
- Signed Waiver: All participants must fill out a release waiver prior to participating. This waiver acknowledges that RFR is not responsible for any unforeseen events that can occur during the course of the rally. Both Drivers and Passengers are required to fill out a waiver. Links to the documents can be found under the event information.
What cars are allowed?
All makes and models are welcome to participate in RFR events. We have had a wide range of vehicles participate from Lamborghini and Ferrari to a 1970's pick-up truck. It's for charity! All are welcome!
