Although I would love to see all 40 participate, let's be realistic to the fact that some people will flake. I would like to get that extra 5% but if worst comes to worst, I'll take the 20% regardless of outcome. Just a thought..

With that being said, let's all agree on a date for that 4 day window for the discount. Any suggestions..? A Thursday to Sunday date would be best, IMO.

Remember ALL 30 or 40 must make payments within the window of opportunity in order for us to get the discount, so let's make sure it's a date that suits everybody on the list.

I agree, the sooner the better. I would like to get this skid plate ASAP!

I've also contacted Neil to see if we can get a longer window of opportunity. I think 4 days is too short. I was thinking more in the lines of a 2 week window if feasible.

Per an earlier post Neil said that there payment system would not support a payment window that long.

"As for payment, we only take Visa and MasterCard. No Pay Pal. I would suggest that we setup a window of 3-4 days where everyone pays right on our website. Our website only authorises the funds for credit cards at first and then at shipping I capture the funds by clicking one button. I can only keep the authorised orders for 5 days then it expires and a new order must be placed. Whenever we set up the 3-4 day window and we get the minimum 30 orders then I will adjust all GB orders to the discount price, email a new receipt, charge the credit card and ship the order. "

Based on this information even a window of 5 days is too long imo as there is some margine of error there /w timezones and when exactly the window opened. 3-4 days is probably best I actually don't understand why they don't setup a seperate order form page or whatever for us because based on what he typed everyone ordering in the GB is going to initially have a hold on thier CC for full price which will be adjusted later which is just more room for error imo.

Unfortunately my payment gateway only holds funds for 5 days and then the order would have to be cancelled and resubmitted. We wouldn’t want people to have to order twice. J The trickiest part will be if we get over 40 orders as it is a better discount then 30-39. I’ll need to apply the appropriate discount at the end of the 5 days depending on if there are 30+ orders or 40+ orders. Would a 5 day window work from a Thursday morning to Monday night? That hits pay day for lots of people as well as the weekend and the Monday in case anyone needs to do their own transfers of money in advance. With lots of notice given to everyone on the 5 days, they should be easily able to pop onto the website to place the order.

Let me know your thoughts.

Idea considered.

There will most likely be a confirmation email following a completed payment transaction from their website. I guess the best way to confirm who's made a payment would be to forward me a copy of that email.

Just an idea.. Any suggestions and concerns, please voice your opinions.

#1: Thursday, Feb. 3rd - Monday, Feb. 7th

#3: Thursday, Feb. 17th - Monday, Feb. 21st.
