We have been getting a lot of questions lately about members interested in posting their own group buys for various automotive parts and accessories. I have decided to outline in this thread when it is acceptable to host a GB on EA and what is required to make it happen. Please read this thread to its entirety before posting a group buy. Failure to follow the rules and guidelines will result in a deletion of your GB thread.

Have a Group Buy you want to post? Here are the rules...

1. Non-Advertiser Offered Product / Service

The only time a GB on a product / service can be created by a member is if the GB product / service is NOT one that is currently offered by an official EA Advertiser. We will not permit any kind of sale that competes or takes away from potential sales from our advertisers.

2. GB Must be for Commercial Business Products / Services

A GB will only be permitted if the product / service is offered by a registered / professional business. Members developing parts or offering services on the side will not be eligible to host their own GB. In addition, members who are "Hosting" the Group Buy are not permitted to benefit in any way other than directly from the Group Buy discount. Consideration for offering the GB in addition to the benefits received by the community are forbidden.

3. All Non-Advertiser GB's must be cleared by EA Admins

All GB's other than Official Advertiser sales must be cleared by the EA Staff prior to posting. Failure to do so will result in the thread being deleted. If you wish to post up a GB for the community, please get in contact with myself or Dave via Private Message or Email. You GB must meet all of the criteria listed below before it will be cleared for submission.

4. All Group Buy's must meet the following criteria
  • Professional Format: It is expected that your GB be neat and professional. Use correct spelling, punctuation and grammar.
  • Price: All relevant prices for the Group Buy must be present. This includes prices of the product (pricing tiers if applicable), tax (if applicable) and shipping costs. There should be no hidden costs associated with any GB.
  • Closing Date: It is important to specify the deadline for the GB.
  • Contact / Payment Information: Please post up relevant information for members to contact the company in charge of the GB.
  • Details: Be as detailed as possible. Limit the number of questions that members will have to ask. Full description of the product or service being offered is required. Please make this GB simple for the community to participate in.

Group Buy Company Limitations

We will permit a GB from a Non-Advertising Company under a few limitations that are outlined below. If a company wishes to avoid these limitations by becoming an Official Advertiser they may do so by inquiring about EA Advertising Opportunities.
  • 1 GB per Product / Service: A GB for a product / service offered by a Non-paying Advertiser will only be permitted once. If a company wishes to host another group buy they must become an Official EA Advertiser in order to do so.
  • Company Support: A GB offered by a Non-Paying Advertiser may provide support / information relevant to that GB only. Commercial posting in locations other than the GB thread will not be permitted. In addition, the promoting or sale of other parts / services (other than the GB product) in the GB thread are not allowed. Company accounts must also be in compliance with signature rules

EA reserves the right to cancel / delete any GB thread created by Non-Advertisers at any point in time if they are in violation of the Rules and Guidelines outlined in this thread. A GB may also be deleted if it is found that the product / service listed is offered by an Official EA Advertiser.
